Scream Queens 2018, Day 3: Karen Black
Do they come any better than Karen Black? Karen is one of the grand dames of my personal icon gallery. Her horror career started with "The Pyx" (story by John Buell, 1973), an occult thriller also featuring legend Christopher Plummer. She teamed up twice with Dan Curtis to play six different characters across four stories in "Trilogy of Terror" (1975) and alongside Oliver Reed in "Burnt Offerings" (1976). Three decades later she proved she was still the queen with her reign as Mama Firefly in "House of 1000 Corpses" (Rob Zombie, 2003). Karen Black is now and will forever be the chameleon queen of horror.
