Sam Neill

Sam Neill stars as a husband tormented by his wife's monstrous lover in "Possession" (Andrzej Zulawski, 1981). He plays the skeptic turned protagonist in the supernatural Lovecraftian Stephen King homage, "In the Mouth of Madness" (John Carpenter, 1994). In "Snow White: a Tale of Terror" (Michael Cohn, 1997) he plays an aristocratic widowed father entranced by a witch seeking immortal beauty. Then he plays one of his most terrifying roles as a scientist and architect of a spacecraft capable of transferring a black hole in "Event Horizon" (Paul W. S. Anderson, 1997).
