John Saxon

Tonight's scream king comes to you from multiple corners of horror imagination, John Saxon! One of John's early horror roles was as Lt. Ken Fuller, the only competent man on the force, in "Black Christmas" (Bob Clark, 1974). In the giallo classic "Tenebrae" (Dario Argento, 1982), he plays the literary agent of a troubled writer. He is perhaps most famous as Nancy's father in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (Wes Craven, 1984), one of the original parents responsible for killing Freddy Krueger. He stars in all of the relevant sequels, including a return as Lt. Thompson in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors" (Chuck Russell, 1987) and in the super-meta "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" (Wes Craven, 1994) as himself when the film legend breaks through into the real world. John plays FBI agent Stanley Chase in the sexy cult vampire thriller "From Dusk Till Dawn" (Robert Rodriguez, 1996).
