Batman Returns

Our holiday movie for the evening is the comic book Christmas caper "Batman Returns" (Tim Burton, 1992), starring Michael Keaton, Michael Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, and Christopher Walken. Gotham is never far from trouble, even at the holidays. This Christmas, corrupt businessman Max Shreck is teaming up with the Penguin, a circus performer with a dark past, to take over Gotham. In their path they unknowingly give rise to Catwoman, a maligned woman with a vengeance, who ends up being their best defense and distraction against Batman. For the first time, he's met his match in battle and found someone who makes him want to drop the mantle. Will the two greedy evildoers be Batman's undoing this season, or will it be a kiss to die for? Considered by many to be the best in the "Batman" series, this film also has the benefit of being a Christmas movie!
