Sorry we're a day late with our first Christmas movie of the season, "The Long Kiss Good Night" (Shane Black, 1996). Starring Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brian Cox, this festive action flick follows a Susie Homemaker teacher with amnesia trying to figure out her past. When Samantha Caine wakes up on a beach, she's got a bullet in her head, a baby in her belly, and no recollection of who she is. After six years, a Christmastime car accident brings it all rushing back. Soon she's following her own trail to find out who she is and who did this to her, with the help of a roguish P.I. She rediscovers her old persona, Charley Baltimore, and proceeds on a rampage of revenge. Can Samantha and Charley coexist in time to survive the holidays?
