Top Ten Tuesday (16)

Top Ten [5] Books Set Near the Beach
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

After spending a considerable amount of time reading poolside this weekend I couldn't stop dreaming about the beach and what type of fruity drinks I would love to be sipping near the water with a book in my hand! That being said, picking the location for this week's top ten tuesday was a no brainer! Although I feel like I've read a TON of books over the course of the last few years alone that were set poolside/on the beach, I picked the top 5 most recent ones I've been enjoying! What are some of yours?

1. The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
2 The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
-These are my top 2 Sparks books I've read to date and although most of his books seem to be set near the ocean, I especially love the storyline for these ones!
3. Death Wish by Megan Tayte
-And it's partially about surfing, so added bonus in my eyes!
4. The Siren by Kiera Cass
5. If You're Lucky by Yvonne Prinz

  1. Great choice of setting, Emily! I've only read one on your list, The Last Song, and it was one of my favorites by Sparks. And Dear John - I remember that being kind of beachy, too, when John and Savannah were first getting together. Would you believe I've yet to read anything by Kiera Cass? I even met her at YallFest year before last and she signed one or two of my books but I *still* haven't started The Selection series. One day... !

    1. The Last Song is my favorite movie (the book is really good too though), hands down. I've watched it so many times I've lost count! I am bound to name my daughter after Ronnie one day (SEE i have a thing for the R names! LOL). And what!? You haven't read anything by Kiera Cass yet?! You need to! The Siren was good, although I am still in love with the Selection Series. Definitely worth the hype! It's like a cute YA version of the bachelor! LOL.

    2. I need to make The Selection series a priority. I bet they're fun and probably really quick reads.
