Top Ten Tuesday (9)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books I REALLY Love But Haven't Talked About Enough/In A While
1. My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins
-This collection of short stories by some of YA's biggest authors is one of my favorite books! I have the UK copy too (which you should totally Google if you haven't seen it yet) and love it.
2. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (this whole series actually)
3. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
-I'm cheating with this one since I mention it all the time but it's my favorite book (ever) so how could I not? :)
4. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
5. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
-Lara Jean is my spirit animal
6. Splintered by A. G. Howard
7. The Hollow by Jessica Verday
8. Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto
9. Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
10. Stolen by Lucy Christopher
-Probably my 2nd most-read book.

  1. I still haven't read My True Love Gave To Me! I've meant to for the past TWO Christmases and it just hasn't happened. I'm hoping to marathon the Anna and the French Kiss series/trilogy this summer. For some reason they just feel like summer reads to me. :) Maybe while on vacay. Perfect Chemistry has been sitting on my shelf for ages. Seeing you list it makes me think I need to pick it up! And Stolen was so good. Totally unique and very thought-provoking. I'd find myself empathizing with Ty and then think "what's wrong with me?!"

    1. They're definitely good summer reads! although I read mine in the fall and it pulled me out of my winter "slump." and O M G I am SO glad to hear someone else say that1 for some reason Stolen is just incredible to me; I have honestly reread that story at least ten times (no lie) and I STILL find myself feeling sorry for Ty and the ending of the story! i was really hoping to get a sequel for that one! It goes to show just how serious Stockholm Syndrome can be for people though, because I wasn't even in her position i was just reading the book and i still felt an attachment to Ty despite what he did being so wrong!

    2. Oh wait! in gushing about Stolen (I am still so glad to have met someone who's read it too! LOL) i forgot what I wanted to say about My True Love. That book is honestly so great and although I loved some stories more than others it was a hit all around for me. but there's another book coming out soon! it's the same type of book and edited by Perkins but they're summer stories! Have you seen it yet?

    3. You've read Stolen 10X! Wow! I never reread. I have sooo many books that I'm dying to read that I can never justify spending time rereading. That being said, I'm taking part right now in a reread readalong of the Addicted series by Krista and Becca Ritchie. Over about 4 weeks we're supposed to be rereading the entire series in anticipation of the last release. There is *no way* I can get the whole series reread in that time but I'm trying. Anyway, about Stolen - I credit the author with humanizing Ty so much that it made me actually feel bad for him. It's like, as the reader, you also suffer from Stockholm Syndrome! It would be awesome to have a sequel to that one. I've seen that upcoming release with the summer stories! Maybe I can read that one this summer and finally read MTLGTM this Christmas! :)

    4. I LOVE rereading, although this past year I've had such a big TBR that I haven't had the chance to reread any books.
WHAT! one month to reread the whole series? that's crazy! i suppose some people to manage that but it seems like a lot to me. doesn't anyone work anymore? LOL. just kidding! but i am impressed by how quickly everyone can read books! it's like their super power i swear!

    5. Ha! That's what I was thinking! Like, um, do you all just stay at home and read all day? lol I work full time and I'm lucky to get through one book a week. I see people reading 4-5 a week and my jaw drops.

  2. I just recently read The Wolves of Mercy Falls series and I ADORED IT ♥ I can't believe I waited so long! I would have added it to my list, but I've been gushing about it quite recently so I decided against it XD I still need to read Splintered and Inkheart but they're on the old tbr shelf - I actually own Splintered so hopefully soon! Thanks for stopping by my Harry Potter Moment post earlier ♥ New follower via Bloglovin' and Twitter :)

    1. Oh Micheline you don't know how happy that makes me to hear! I feel like the Wolves of Mercy Fall Series gets swept under the rug in the shadow of the Raven Boys since that is one of her more popular series. But Mercy Falls is still my favorite!:)
And I LOVE your harry potter post! it might just be one of my favorite weekly posts I've seen in a long time! thanks for the follow and for checking out my post today!
