Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR
1. Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi
2. Dorothy Must Die Series by Danielle Page
-Page is coming to BookCon this year and I can't wait to meet her! I really want to read this series before I do though, so I can get the books signed when I go!
3. The Darkest Minds Series by Alexandra Bracken
-Even though I just met Bracken for the first time in Illinois for her tour of her newest book, Passenger, I didn't get a chance to read this series before I went! She is coming to BookCon as well as Page and I have heard nothing but great things about this series so I want to finish it before I go!
4. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
5. Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid
6. A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire #2) by George R. R. Martin
7. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
-I recently finished Fangirl so naturally Carry On is top on my list these days to read!
8. The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #1) by Rick Riordan
9. Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso
- I have a copy but haven't gotten around to reading it yet! I need to!
10. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman

  4. I really enjoyed the Shatter Me series. It was amazing how I changed my mind completely about certain characters throughout the trilogy! The Darkest Minds trilogy is on my TBR, too, just not sure when. My husband actually read the trilogy last month! When we met Alexandra at ApollyCon a couple weeks ago he was able to discuss them with her and I was clueless. lol

    1. YOU HAVE A HUSBAND WHO READS?! does he have a twin!? LOL.
but really, he sounds like a keeper Tanya!:)
I'm really excited to start the Shatter Me series! The Darkest Minds trilogy is one i need to start soon; if you end up reading it let me know! we should buddy read it!

    2. LOL Yep, a husband that reads. And a lot of the time he depends on me to pick out which books he reads so sometimes I choose stuff I've read that I think he'll like and we can talk about it. He's read The Mortal Instruments series, the Lux series, a couple by Colleen Hoover... he's my reading buddy! But no twin, I'm afraid. LOL I would totally be up for a Darkest Minds buddy read! But I'm always hesitant about buddy reads because everyone seems to be speed readers or has way more time than me to read. I get left n the dust. Ha!

    3. Darn! (about the twin thing LOL). That's so cool you got him to read the Mortal Instruments! i made my best guy friend read them all too! he's like my Simon:) so the irony isn't lost on me lol

That's ok!if one of us finishes before the other we can just wait!:) and i'm a rather slow reader as well to be honest! i read A LOT but that's the only reason I get through books so quickly! for example, i probably spent 8 hours reading this weekend, BUT i didn't even get through one book! i'm still on Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard! i just take forever to read and in between reading I play on my phone or get distracted with other things. my attention span is that of a fly i swear! LOL

    4. Oh my gosh, I love that you have a Simon! Having read the books, does he realize he is your Simon? lol

We sounds TOTALLY ALIKE in our reading, Emily! I usually read often, but I don't read fast. And I totally get distracted! LOL Read 5 pages, check Facebook, read 7 pages, play Cookie Jam... :) I tell people I read a lot, and I do, but my progress is slow. I have no issue being a slower reader but it can be a downer (usually) when it comes to buddy reads and readalongs. I'm taking part in a readalong of the Addicted series right now (mostly rereads for me) and I know I'll be left in the dust because we're supposed to be reading 2 books every week. Ha! With our reading style so similar I think we will do great at a Darkest Minds buddy read!! :)

    5. that's the question of the year! i don't think he knows he's my Simon!(and i really hope he doesn't read my blog or now he might LOL)

    1. I'm glad to hear you say Carry On is good because I wasn't sure how much I would love Simon and Baz's story, but I think i'll give it a try! I adored Fangirl! I wish there was a sequel!
